Thabet Khalidi received his law degree in 1994 and established the Khalidi Law Firm in Tucson’s historic Barrio Viejo the same year. For more than two decades he has proudly represented Southern Arizonans in hundreds of family law, serious injury or death, malpractice, insurance bad faith, negligence and trespass disputes. Though he is an aggressive litigator, when it is in the best interest of the client, Thabet settles cases through negotiation and mediation.

Thabet first visited Tucson In 1979, when he was 13 years old. He was immediately drawn to the warm and diverse people. Thabet returned to Tucson in 1984 to attend the University of Arizona, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration and Management Information Systems. In 1992, he moved to Madison, Wisconsin to attend the University of Wisconsin Law School, one of the top 20 law schools in the nation. While in law school, he was a member of the Wisconsin International Law Journal. In 1994, he graduated cum laude. Committed to help bring justice for the people of Southern Arizona, Thabet quickly returned to Tucson and established the Khalidi Law Firm in downtown Tucson.

Thabet is a firm believer in responsible citizenship. In 2003, he was named one of the Top Pro Bono Attorneys in Arizona. He is a longtime advocate for civil rights, working people and unions. Thabet proudly represents a number of unions in southern Arizona. In 2005, he successfully defended three schoolteachers and a law school professor who were sued for defamation by a defeated Republican City Council member.

Thabet has tried cases in Pima County, Santa Cruz County, Cochise County, Pinal County and Gila County, including the cities of Tucson, Bisbee, Casa Grande, Marana, Douglas, Oro Valley, Nogales, Vail, Sahuarita, Green Valley and Sierra Vista, as well as in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.

Thabet is a volunteer for the Casey Feldman Foundation, which through its End Distracted Driving Initiative is working to inspire individuals and communities – with a primary focus on teen drivers – to stop distracted driving.
