Rob graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona Law School in 2004. He was selected by his peers to deliver the graduation address and by the faculty as his class' Outstanding Senior. During law school, Rob also served as an Articles Editor for the Arizona Law Review.
Immediately after graduation, Rob clerked a year for the Hon. Ruth V. McGregor, the Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court. Following that, Rob accepted a position with the Tucson office of a large national law firm.
Large firm life was not to Rob's liking and Rob soon stepped into a small law firm setting. Rob is a respected litigator and carries a reputation as a vigorous, but fair-minded advocate. Rob practices in all areas requiring litigation, whether that be insurance disputes, personal injuries or divorce and custodial disputes. Rob is also admitted to many tribal courts in Arizona, including those of the Tohono O'odham, Pascua Yaqui and Navajo Nations.
Rob also has a well-established appellate practice and has written effective briefs and memoranda on a wide variety of legal issues, including economic torts and personal jurisdiction. Rob has argued at every level of appellate review in Arizona, including before the State Supreme Court.
Rob firmly believes that lawyers have an obligation to serve their communities. As such, he volunteers a good deal of his time to Arizona's indigent and was recognized as the Volunteer Attorney for the months of April 2006 and June 2010 and as one of the Top Pro-Bono Attorneys in Arizona for 2006 and 2010. Rob also volunteers his time at Southern Arizona Legal Aid in their clinical programs.
Rob also teaches legal writing and appellate advocacy at the University of Arizona Law School.
Rob is the proud parent of four beautiful girls, ages 10, 7, 6 and a six-month old. Although somewhat sleep deprived these days, Rob still makes time to indulge his hobbies of collecting records, vegetable gardening and reading.
